Firefox 2.0 just came out, so I don't expect we'll need to think about
this for some time. And I like the idea of not having to do the Windows
installer. Saves me a lot of hassle (1) rebooting into Windows where all
my work is in Linux and (2) learning how to use NSIS.
In a couple of years, when Firefox 3.0 is closer to being released, we
can see where we are and decide if we want to change Windows installer
to have the same look&feel as Firefox.
Btw, no, I didn't know FF was going to us NSIS :) I only said NSIS
because it's the only one I know that is free an open source.
I should mention that Matthew Cruickshank offered to make an initial
NSIS installer, but made it clear that he can't take over this task
permanently.
Cheers,
Daniel.
